BDA to Phinigel

I think this is a good opportunity for the community to recap personal stories about BDA. I will start story time off.

I met a guy while I was leveling up and we became fast friends. I was new to the server and he was a little more established, so he helped me out with loot like Trace Sticks, executioners hood, advise where to level, ports, stuff of that nature. Well he did his research and thought that a guild called <Asgard> was going to be the best fit for him. He played A LOT more than me and ended up out leveling me pretty significantly. So after he joined and became a full member he told me that once I got 46 I could also join – well Pint is such a nice guy he invited me to the guild when I was only level 30 despite the level 46 requirement. I was so happy to be in a guild that I quickly leveled out to 46 and started raiding. Was so much fun! I received my haste belt and some planar gear from Fear/Sky, we killed Cazic Thule and Trakanon pretty early on in my Asgard days – things were looking up for Tekilya Wu’Tang. Then I met BDA/Taken….

I had no idea how the rotation worked at first but slowly started figuring it out. In Asgard we would field 25-40 man raid forces typically. For Kunark this was a great turnout and all that was really needed. Sometimes we would join up with Azure Guard and other guilds to kill targets when we or they needed a bit of help, but overall there was a strong since of community and guild identity….And then Lord Chest Rockwell <Bregen D’Aerth> decided to watch it all burn.

I am not going to go into server history, but Taken and BDA were both gaming the system by not joining TMO/IB in class C raiding. They had just as many raiders (if not significantly more in some cases) in their guild as TMO and IB, but they did not want to compete with them – it was “impossible”. It got to the point where Taken and BDA had 100 man forces showing up to targets like Venril Sathir – The zergs were starving for pixels due to over inflation of numbers – I distinctly remember 350 people in Feerot for a Dracko spawn…. So about a year prior to Velious launching Chest teams up with Taken to destroy the rotation instead of moving to class C. They say we need to “sharpen our swords” for Velious since it will be FFA at launch. This is horse sh!t, BDA saw the other guilds as “inferior” and “undeserving” of loot. For quite some time BDA uses bullying tactics, cheating, numbers, and numerous other tactics so that they can try to split loot with Taken on a 50/50 basis. The forums erupt in outrage since they are destroying any “casual vibe” the server ever had. Now it is 100% “NO BATHROOM BREAKS – USE YOUR SOCKS INCEL OR YOUR F#CKED”.

Much to the chagrin of the zerg, <Asgard> is still doing work and we get some pretty highly contested targets. The shame of all this is Asgard/AG are really the only guilds who pulled through the fall of the rotation, the other guilds basically stopped raiding or assumed roles within the zerg.

Velious launches – Asgard rises to glory – BDA falls to sh!t and gets cucked off the server due to no one wanting to team with them – and the rest my friends is history.

TLDR: Chest destoryed the rotation due to greed

But just to clarify - i refuse to participate in raiding in its current incarnation - so maybe BDA isnt so bad after all. The real server cancer intentionally stays much more hidden and out of sight.

The BDA story is a great one isnt it? Started as one of the most respected guilds on the server with a great reputation (pre-Kunark) then they progressively took a shit on themselves for "casual" raid pixels and managed to lock in a guaranteed pixel system for a long time.

As soon as Velious hit and there was no more system for them it became clear they couldnt compete, they started losing members who knew there were better and less corrupt guilds to play with that were actually clearing meaningful content...but rather than admit they sucked against real competition they retreated to an INSTANCED raid server where they wouldnt look like a shower of shit.

...oh yeah, and they keep us informed on how their own instanced Norrath is going. Thumbs up guys, you win a special prize in the hearts and minds of the community here. I hope Norrath_2827 is treating you well [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Lot of talk coming from a guy with 14.5k forum posts that knows the forum rules like the back of his hand and openly and blatantly broke one of the most well known rules there is and got himself suspended for being a shithead.

You will never live it down Swish. I promise. Might as well retire this account (For real this time) and start fresh. Just try not to repeat the same boring BDA bullshit that literally nobody else cares about over and over again ad nauseam or people will instantly know who it is.
