The key word to keep in mind is substained. The OP was looking in terms of "non stop pulls"

Kvappe, I only played a Necro from PoP and beyond, but does it still hold true that Mage/Necro pets pump out more than other classes pets or is it the same for awhile until later expansions?

Mage/Necro cast pets are stronger than Enchanter/Shaman pets. Although Beastlords have the strongest pets.
Druid/Enchanters pets in Kvappes post would be charmed mobs.

If you are talking about typical exp grind groups of single pulls, you have wizards way too high. At level 51, Draught of Fire does 643 damage for 194 mana (assuming Spec:Evoc). It will take the wizard 7 tics (42 seconds) to med that back (with clarity). Basically putting their sustained DPS at 15.
Note: On live, 1 out of 3 rain waves were resisted, making this less viable. In a quick fight, they are certainly up there. But sustained you have them too high.

Charmers are obviously #1, then rogues, then proabaly monks. Then at 60 wizards are probably king again (still behind charm classes) by far.

After seeing a few posts putting Enchanter higher up in the rankings because of a charmed pet, why wouldn't a Bard also be higher up. Can't a bard charm just as well? Add melee damage on top of that, seems like maybe they should be at the top.
