Getting the exact same thing from Avast.

Cannot get it to stop blocking it, actually, or download that update that Rogean posted.

Having this same exact issue. Can't install the dll, using Avast, and can't download that update. Any help?

yes i had this issue you have to go SETTINGS/ANTIVIRUS/SCANS AND RISKS/ scroll down some, "items to exclude from scan" "items to exclude from auto protect SONAR detection"

Configure both of those to specifically allow the win32.dll

for Avast, you would:

1. go to Real-Time Shields tab on the left hand side
2. go to File System Shield
3. go to Expert Settings under Settings
4. go to Exclusions
5. add: "*\wsock32.dll" minus the quotes (not sure which boxes need checking, I left all 3 checked)
6. Enjoy

I really don't experience this... its 2011 not 2001... it has improved quite a bit. Between Norton at home and Symantec at work, no problems here. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

2001 is when Norton was actually a functional product. Their AV console sucks, their product eats CPU usage and cripples any computer it gets installed on.

Kaspersky or Avast all the way.

Right, that was the point of mentioning 2001... the old products were hogs. I run NAV 2011 at home and SEP at work. I see no performance drops. /shrug

Run what you like the most, I'm just sharing my current experience with the product...

My biggest problem is that now Norton is telling me that several temporary files are Trojans ever since I installed this new patch. Does the .dll create temporary files as part of its search for hacks?

I was zoning into BW when I went LD, and when I came back It said I'm missing client files. Errorcode Dll-1. I try to log in from my laptop and it says the same thing. I try to download the eqchangesv13 file from this forum but it always gets interupted. What the hell is going on. how do I fix this?
