always turns into a private 8v8 club due to the following

-- not going out without a full group with perfect comp
-- spamming angry capital letters at "adding on fights"
-- hard snubbing
-- some people being truly bad at DAoC to the point that it validates the above

if there was *any* hope this would be a fun mass RvR server I'd care but its going to be a vicious grind up with PvDoor and basically arranged 8v8s with a ton of people sitting around LFG

Hope I'm wrong tho, and not that that I'd play but it would be great for the people who do. At least all the classes are supposed to work this time(??)

No offense, but it's attitudes like yours that makes it a worse place to play. Don't be so pessimistic. You make it sound like a school yard with a bunch of bullies. There are tons of fun, open-minded people out there to play with, you just have to find them.

Realistically, I'll agree that I've seen those things you mentioned. There were times when I couldn't find a group because certain groups were only seeking certain classes to fill the last spots, or they only ran with their own guildies. But that's their choice, it happens in any game that you play.

I've also been invited to plenty of PUGs, and even some guild groups that couldn't fill up with their own members. And once this server opens back up, I'll be running my own guild, or at least help to manage a good, active one. I think this time around, with the fresh start, a lot of the elitism / shunning of other players will be diminished.... at least until the server gets older and people start hitting higher realm ranks.

My last memories of DAoC were that the Midgards were the Alpha with stunlock/PBAOE - will be the same here?

I've heard talk that Middies may be considered the underdog at this patch level with old RA's. I'm not intellectual enough to be able to say personally, though.

can confirm that this guy isnt called the doctor because he doesn't know how to predict things with 100% accuracy. He's like a classic MMO Emu Bernie Sanders.. Gets shit right every time.

^^ Yeah that does happen occasionally. I have seen it mostly on Alb. In any game though; you're going to have elitists.
