No.Wipe.Ever

They are going to delete the dupped items though.
That's a pity. Kinda puts a few hundred dozen final nails in the :classic: coffin. Guess I'll have even less respect for the :classi:/:notclassic: crowd now, didn't think that was actually possible. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Going to be interesting what comes of that... A lot of honest people could get screwed unless they plan to refund the plat?
that's what happens... they can't leave duped stuff in the game. If you have concerns don't buy anything you don't want deleted until this is fixed.

Not like i have the money to be affected by this lol.

Just saying, if you were to have bought a AoN 3 weeks ago before this was all out in the open you would rightly be f'ed.

That's semi-unfair, although it only punishes those who buy those duped items.

Thing is, no-one can know if they've bought a duped item at this point. So its just a bunch of random accounts selling a bunch of items they should not have.

I don't think this problem should have been pushed under the rug so quick so to speak.

An easy way to spot this if true(which tinfoil hat or not, it can be done and people wanting to make a profit will resort to anything). check the red server vs blue server. Red has considerably less population, high ticket items like aon, tstaff, and others are more well known then im guessing the 1000+ blue players. If something like this is happening on blue, Someone is surely trying to cash in on red. If it isn't being done already, Just peak around red for things out of place. The minute someone new has a AoN, tstaff, anything uniquely rare the entire server knows within hours.

@ Lady Taa
Exactly, Even if someone bought a duped item like an AoN more then likely they would not care. Diablo II was a good example of this, When the major dupe/item creation exploits hit in the many various waves. People had no issue legitimately buying them with game currency or real money off websites. It became a part of the game, But DII was on a much more massive scale. It will be much easier to simply remove these items if they are in game once tracked down. For those who did buy a high ticket item recently for a good deal or from a unsure source I would probably be re-thinking that decision and hoping you aren't a tinfoil hatter

no one is gonna waste time duping on a server with 10% of the active population of blue, and thus 10% of the potential profits.

and also likely 10x more risk of being caught due to the low population

Punishing the folks who unintentionally bought a duped item will not help the server.

All it does is create the illusion that the situation is being dealt with.

they could also look at flagging duped items as no drop effectively taking them out of the economy.... this would leave those purchased intact.
