double drop rate confirmed as such: if a mob has 100% drop rate on something, such as Ancient Cyclops with the ring, it will drop double. So I scored 6 rings in 4 hours today. Confirmed dorfs at the BB docks dropping 2 axes each, one also dropped a 2h fine steel sword.. Goro from MK style

One in-game irony of the double loot bonus is that some mobs will dual-wield two of the same lore item.

Hotfix -

Mobs spawned by trigger (Quest Scripts) will no longer be affected by bonus loot.
Resolved some cases of faction modifications being affected by Bonus Faction when they shouldn't. Please petition if you need a faction reset as a result of this.

Hotfix Version 2 -

Mobs that spawn by trigger can now drop bonus loot again.
Individual Loot Subtables can now be flagged to be unaffected by bonus loot, and we have set this flag on various tables (mostly Epic quest drops triggered by a previous turn in, and some others).
