It's the place to be!

Sometimes i wish I lived somewhere else during the winter, because it rains for months and everything is just generally cold, wet, and miserable. But you get used to that, and once summer hits you realize it was worth every shitty day in the winter to have an absolutely perfect summer.

Plus we've got a little something for everyone here. Like the city life? Go to seattle, plenty of fun shit to do there 24/7. Outdoorsy type? Great, we have some of the best the U.S. has to offer as far as outdoor activities go. Crime is generally low (depending on where you go, of course), most cities are fairly quiet and peaceful, and we have really progressive laws in terms of drugs and stuff.

My only complaint besides the rain is that the people around here can be really rude. They call it 'the seattle chill' and that describes it perfectly. A lot of people like to keep to themselves and be left alone, so as you're out walking around don't expect a ton of friendly greetings from people. Other than that, I love it here.

This. Lived North of Seattle (about a hour and a half) for my entire life and really this place is laid back. However most people are very secluded (thanks rain) so you don't get a lot of hellos on the street. Not a bad thing, when I'm out doing things I don't want to be bothered by strangers.

The rain isn't bad. It's mostly the overcast, gloomy feel. However fall can be one of the most beautiful times of year for us.
