Nothing more and nothing less. We aim to provide a classic and fair experience, to fix bugs and chase down those that abuse them because that's the decision we made, not because we have any obligation to do so.
I will never cease to be amazed at how many people here are unwilling to get that obviousness thru their thick-skulls and into whatever passes for cognitive awareness therein.

You can differ in opinion regarding policy, you can dislike and disagree with choices made, you can believe in favoritism or disreputable motivations... but to imagine that there is some sort of obligation making volunteer staff members somehow beholden to community members is mind-boggling to me.

Not sure what the implied seniority is supposed to represent, but I've been around since 2009, as has most of the staff.
You've been around since 2009, but you've only been on the forums since 2013. I don't believe you.

If you get banned from having millions of plat on an online game and your video evidence is not good enough to unban you.

Maybe you should think about your life for a minute. 60 seconds.

So having association with a player who for the longest time seems like a great guy (and probably is) but is hiding some RMT business is his fault?

Ive been here 5 years. longer than most of the staff, and I caught myself up in some RMT business. The difference between me and most of this staff is that it only took me one mistake to learn my lesson while you guys keep making the same mistakes over and over again.

It's a blessing that you guys donate your time, but remember when you take a job Like this, you don't work for the server you work for the community. The faster you guys adopt that policy the less toxic the community becomes.
The staff is not beholden to the community. None of us are. They may be a part of it, but it is their show and we are free to choose either to participate or to not participate. The simple fact that we choose to participate in their endeavor entitles us to nothing. We either enjoy ourselves or we do not. If we do not, then we should look elsewhere.

I've been here a long time, I've never expected anything from the staff except that they hold true to their word: to continue to strive to provide a classic experience. They have kept their word and I have enjoyed myself, within the parameters they set forth^^

Do not expect anything other than what has been offered and you will not be disappointed.

The times where I have needed GM intervention are few and far between. When I FIRST started playing P99 last October, I accidently deleted my 2 hand Wu Staff while in Highpass Hold (I thought it was a cracked staff by mistake), I petitioned and had it back within a few days. One time I handed my Sebelis Key to Siren in Sky instead of a Bird Whistle or some other sh!t, and again i had my key back within a week.

What else do you fools think GMs are here for besides sh!t like the above? If you roll an alt and are killing giants in FM (which I am currently doing, ding 30 last night btw) what on earth would you need GM intervention for? Camp disputes are classic, and whoever does the most DPS usually wins the battle (because the other group will p!ss off, like they should). But then you can come flame them on the forums and everyone will know they are as a$shole and will think twice about grouping with them....thats the EQ I remember, not GM's holding everyone's hand.

The ONLY reason i probably still play on P99 is because of how they ban people for RMT and Boxing. If they stopped doing this I would be playing A LOT more Diablo 3 and single player RPGs that I have stolen from Pirate Bay.

so much disinformation here i dont think you even took a moment to try and figure out what was going on bassman. the only person in guild who was banned was SSet, but all of your accounts were deactivated to protect you.

i was in haggard krew and thought you guys were all pretty cool people, but the way all of you morons jumped on braknar when he came into guild chat to warn us was disgusting. do you even know if you are fully banned? based on everything the GM said in guild, you just needed to change your password. he told us so that we could inform anyone, but you GM's had been so inactive i doubt anyone was around to post it somewhere where you all would see.

honestly glad to be rid of your dumb ass if this is your reaction to GM's doing their job without even checking whats going on. i couldnt even stay in that damn guild the moment i heard people start bitching and alluding it to be the GM's fault. just plain immature bullshit.

are you seriously this dumb? can you not read words that are in front of you? i feel like you arent taking any words in and just looking for a chance to spout your bullshit.

the gm above just said they had their accounts deactivated so they can change the passwords. it is a protective measure. my god its like this server is half full of a bunch of whiney neanderthals. you cant deactivate an account without it looking like a ban. for the love of god, atleast try to think.
