Turning off Velious armor graphics?

It's been a very long time, but some of the items that I distinctly remember having old world or classic plate graphics have velious textures instead. For example, I remember crystal chitin chest guards being worn by druids and phase spider carapace's being worn by monks and having the old world plate texture. I usually play half elfs and have always loved the look of the old world plate graphic more than the velious graphic.

Could I have possibly had these new textures turned off back when I was playing live? Is there an option to turn them on or off? I know that 15 year old memories aren't the best thing to rely on, but I remember having specific thoughts for years like "If I ever rolled a druid I would be a half elf and have a full suit of crystal chitin from velks." Or "I would wear a phase spider carapace on a human monk to have the plate graphic"

I did all of this, but there is no "LoadVeliousArmor=TRUE" in either of my eqclient.ini files. All the other ones are there and switched over to FALSE. I even used the find function and the word velious does not appear anywhere else in the file

Added it. Everything is FALSE and still no luck [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] Maybe the devs have it set so you can't change it?

Haha oh wellll. Guess that helps me decide whether I'm alting a dark elf sk or half elf pally since the HEF velious plate looks horrible compared to DEF. Anyway, thanks for clearing that up Rogean.
