I suspect this comment reflects out-of-date circumstances; it's accurate for Kunark, but not any more. The Golems in Plane of Fear have a several day spawn timer and are highly contested. Lower-end guilds stand virtually no chance of getting them, and even most the mid-range guilds get them only rarely. This is why the Shaman epic MQ cost is so much higher now than it used to be, and rising. It's also why you actually see level 50+ shamans nowadays who don't have the epic.

I always think about doing the Shaman Epic and I'm all for it until I think about getting a guild together to hit POF and try and get a Tear.

I would think that getting into a group, sitting for the Fungi Tunic and hopefully winning the role of the dice would be easier to do than the Epic.

Tears currently are going for way to much, should be much much lower (like 40k TOPS) to ask for any more for an item that can likely drops up to 3 to 6 times a week is way to much. Poopsocking guilds cockblocking people from finishing their epics just to keep plat flowing in to fund the poopsock / footraces is a complete sham and should be done away with. Boycott buying the tears and just buy the Fungi and farm fear with your guildies when golems are in window.

Once you get 60 and get Torpor, fungi becomes kinda pointless

Do shamans at 60 nowadays stay at 100% hp very often? They never did in all my experience at 60, and every tick not at full health is a tick that fungi does exactly the same thing before torpor as it does after.

Maybe saying pointless was a bit too much.
But it matters less because where you previously had to wait for your hp to regen in order to be able to canni, you can just canni down real quick and then torp yourself over and over at 60.

Update: Bank has hit about 18k so far. Haven't bought gear since L30, haha, but seem to solo/group OK. Chug, chug, chug...

Made several K xp'ing Grobb Barshers, then moved to IG's, which are good cash. Selling pots as I can without investing more to go above alch 100.
