Default Staff of Elemental Mastery: Earth would like a GM response

Wasn't sure where to post this so posted here.
Been doing some research since only the Magi P'Tasa was only dropping the Earth staff. Found these notes from back on March 14,2001 from the Hate revamp. Apparently the trash mobs had a chance to drop items from what their "Mini-Boss" had a chance to drop.
Was this included on P99 after the revamp?

You made a mistake tho. The staff used to only drop from Innoruuk v1 prior to the revamp, the revamp moved that loot to the Magi P'Tasa but to my knowledge the staff never dropped off 'trash' as you are implying during the p99 timeline.

PS: Keep in mind that there have been several revamps on live over the years.

I was really hoping you had pornhub pulled up in the screen shot pictures with some weird headline like "MAN ON MAN HOT ACTION"

As someone mentioned, patch notes indicate it was moved off boss mobs (Innoruuk) to other mobs of 'roughly the same difficulty' or something like that. That allakhazam page has an Oct 2008 update on it, so I doubt devs would rely on the fact that 'a forsaken revenant' was listed as being able to drop the staff.

I'm curious why the patch notes said 'previously undiscovered part of the zone' was opened. Was 2nd floor of hate expanded? Didn't realize it wasn't always open.

2nd floor was open up to innys room. Then revamp opened previously closed areas and added the dark elves. There was a few revamps afaik thru hates lifetime. Never was I privy to the actually revenant dropping the staff.

Ive had my dirty monk hands on more staffs than most. I saw enough staffs to argue the drop rate was fine but I also was getting a magi about once every 8 hours without dealing with the a/a farmers getting in my way since they didn't do it till after I sold a few staffs with friends.

I guess considering how many innys I saw die without the staff. Even if the drop rate was wrong it's still better than before and without exactly knowing when they patched the staff to regular NPC's I don't think this will change anytime soon.

Still the best time to roll a mage the epic is more avail now than ever

Fact. I waited 5 years before i got mine off of one of the last Innies to ever spawn. A double spawn in Velious that spawned on an Earthquake.

And during those 5 years we actively competed to get Innies. People today got it so easy.

I've found and added 2 more SS's, one of which is of another site w/ the patch info and a staff updated around 2000 (to show nothing was really changed cept the augments. A lot of info cant be found about the specific details, mainly just overall changes in the patch. This isn't just about the Staff, but the zone and drops in general, it's just that the Staff is the highest contested and biggest headache of them all. I'm trying to be as accurate as I can w/ little or no info and working w/ what I have.

I've not found any other revamps since then in any of the archives. And Yes only Inny dropped the staff in 1.0.

No its Win7 in classic format and setup for performance. Don't like flashy, glittering, sparkling crap all over my windows.... plain, simple, hard cornered, and easier on the eyes.

Yes I seen the last update was Oct 2008, the only thing that was changed on the staff were the additions of the augments. Also, since Daybreak took over they didn't keep any of the archives to the original SoE Everquest site before 4/14/04. Allakhazam.com kept up w/ all the patches.
