But to OP, grab the easy resist gear like the cheap JC stuff, runed bone fork, kunzar cloak, etc. Focus on MR as much as possible as a melee (root = death).

Try to get into exp groups camping the more expensive stuff like frog crown and acquire it naturally and save a lot of cash.

I just carry a few key and light resist pieces. And swap them on if I feel pvp coming on.

It is nice to have both - but I would spend my money only on what is necessary to pve, and the rest on pvp. Depends what class you play, but really it's best to only roll in your PvP gear. Swapping out is just annoying
