I just carry a few key and light resist pieces. And swap them on if I feel pvp coming on.

It is nice to have both - but I would spend my money only on what is necessary to pve, and the rest on pvp. Depends what class you play, but really it's best to only roll in your PvP gear. Swapping out is just annoying
