sure, if it gives unusually high rewards for the level and difficulty. Easy exp and easy money are always being sought.

The problem is several months in they started revamping lower level zones to be more attractive to new players adding new "rare" quest rewards, adding quests, and fixing old ones.

Well if there's proof of what the rewards were at launch, post it and I'm sure Nilbog and Rogean will take it into account.

That’s definitely not classic behavior. She and Cros should attack you even if the rabid wolf attacked you first. It was definitely a frustrating experience back in the day.

The rabbid wolf, and putrid skellies, these are some of the first quests.

As for reward exp and plat values, idk no clue what those were. 8)

One of the reasons nobody quested in classic though is because you need to be a rocket scientist to find out that these pelts are good for anything. Not that the reward for every quest was a kick in the groin (even though 99% of them were lol)

I remember the quest early but it was simply a decent EXP quest that gave you shit scroll. it was tedious to even farm the scroll because they were lore.

this guy here goes as far as to mention he got two different awards for bear versus wolf, yet no mention of plat.

It's definitely a concern due to inflating platinum into the server at rates unintended. But Rogean said in a different thread about this that the Rabid wolf for example will have special spawn rules to avoid this, in addition to other quests like this that are in areas they intend to increase spawn rates. Not sure exactly what he mean, but he did say it.

And as far as claiming the camp, nobody is gonna respect that outdoor in a single spawn. People on beta already don't (some mage went away to turn in, came back and reclaimed it with sheer force) so I doubt on launch they will treat it differently, it will be FFA. But if Rogean says they have already planned for this , then I assume it is a non isssue.

As lovely as that map is, I just want to remind everyone that (for any "loc-mapped" zone at least) you can add the following code in the wiki to generate a map with an "X" on a particular loc:

I just thought people might want an easier way to generate such images, without having to "draw" in Photoshop or Paint. With this approach all you need to do is add the code to any wiki page, hit preview, and take a screenshot ... you don't even need to save the page.

I feel like an overlay or a second monitor would be nicer. But I guess it's the same general idea.

Yeah, but that would be much harder to monetize than an iPad app. I agree, you could easily create a map overlay that reads the logfile. But AFAIK nobody ever has.

That basic idea has already been done, and not even just once, but multiple times. I don't think anyone has ever done it specifically for an iPad, but here's what they have done:

Of course, those tools don't use the wiki maps ... but really if you're wanting something like that I think you want a dedicated window anyway, not a wiki page.
