Whatever happened to EthernalQuest?
Whatever happened to EthernalQuest? It was also known as HackersQuest. It was another emulator like EQEmu back in the day created by a guy named Zordon. Whatever happened with that guy? I thought he showed some real talent trying a different avenue or approach in creating a server. That was back when you used to have to patch to a certain client version and not go beyond it in order to play on servers back then. I was just curious because I haven't really read anything about it in like forever and I remember it used to drive people crazy when someone would go to the EQEmu forums and ask for support and tech help to get sorted with his emulator. lol It was like seriously did you really just ask that? lol Some of the responses where just classic. lol You don't get laughs like that anymore now days. Lmao!!!! [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

It was a single-player, offline experience using Ruby. That's what happened to it; it was a niche idea that had no real practical implementation. The idea was solid - the tech at the time was not up to date for that idea.

It was also one or two people updating it, compared to an entire team of people updating EQEmu.
Man, the good old days of EQEmu..
