Should check out the videos of Unrest in EverQuest 2. It's the one zone that I actually feel is a major improvement from EverQuest 1, and that's saying a lot since Unrest is one of the best zones in EverQuest 1...

Really would like to see Daybreak games make an EverQuest 3 that is a true sequel to EQ 1... basically EverQuest 1 re-mastered and expanded on with more modern features.

Meh. Vanilla polygon counts and art style are half the reason to play p99z

Checked both out, the thing about EQ1 is the early Win95/98 3D accrerator style graphics. The fog that was put it for hardware limitations is an asset here, things coming out of the fog. Small zones are as big as your imagination because you can't see it, which adds to mystery.

(hmm, skip to 3:30, dunno how to do specific time with embed yet.)
The triggered music (EQ had midi triggers) and the visual fog.

ill never understand why they have not just made a remake but probably has to do with numbers, spreads sheets and other bs.

Unreal Engine or Unity Engine?

Do I want some doofus running around my High Fantasy world in a John Wick skin just because they sold it to him, the answer is a firm no. I despise all of this and the lack of Windows engines.

Speaking of Windows, you are asking for a EQ3 but don't set the foundation correctly by stating it must be for Windows only. It can't be multiplatform, controller options, and still be called Everquest. You can call it EQ Online Adventures but not simply EQ because that means the the original Windows version, which is why we are here. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

They put so much work into making a separate version of the world, instead of just using their existing assets. Fun though.

I always assumed that the dungeon in the 1999 cinematic was supposed to be Najena..
