This is normal because there's an SSD in that slot and the raid controller can't interpret SMART checks on it, so it thinks it's failing.

Oddly enough though there are different SSD's in 4 other slots on that same server , but I guess those drives communicate with the SAS controller differently.

Bandwidth used / month?
95th percentile is around 25 mbit. Total bandwidth I think is in the 5 terabyte range.

Which raid controller are you using? Perc?

3x 2U servers are a switch - or is that a router? Where's the rest of it! I expected some big ass EMC array and a backup solution to protect our pixels!

Time for us to start donating I guess. Hopefully when our maintenance is up on our datacenter gear next year I can send you some stuff.

We have 10+ Bladecenters, plus 100+ x86 blades that are 8-core and 256GB of RAM, just rotting away........... Might have some Netapp storage also..
