1 was the story of a man who walked on both sides of the force. Except for the twist its a pretty straightforward journey.

2 was a study of the nature of the force itself . If the force itself could be destroyed. The light/ dark side both being flawed interpretations. Even the wise teacher obi wan role is suspect.

But they ran out if time and a few planets and the ending was cut.

I think it's already been announced that Episode 7 will start a completely new story not covered in any expanded universe.

I'm fine with that if and only if they do not overwrite any of the already established EU canon.

There will never be a decent Revan film unless they just make Kotor a movie. Before that point is too dark for a Star Wars film, after that is Sith Lords and TOR which are just poop in comparison

Sith Lords is extremely dark for a SW movie as well, imo. Makes Revenge of the Sith look like ewoks.
