Default Gnoll pet at split paw entrance

Often there is a earth elemental at the zone in to infected paw (in other words, in the infected paw zone, not in the SK zone). This is an earth elemental that cons indifferent named a tesch mas gnoll pet.

If you try to target the pet with a spell it says that you cannot see the target, even though it is sitting right there in the hallway.

I will try to attach a picture later.

Nearly every zone has one of these (Runnyeye, Splitpaw, Najena, Sol A, etc.). It happens I think when a pet class mob is trained to the zone (or just its pet is?) and it for some reason stays there.

It is usually the safe spot within the zone. NPCs that have issue with their location with regards to the map will graphically appear at the zoneline even though that isn't their location. Likely what is happening is that these NPCs are standing near walls and when they cast their pet summon the pet is summoned within the wall and it graphically appears at the zoneline.

Early in the launch of the server there were gorillas that ALWAYS appeared at the zoneline of Cazic Thule. The reason behind this was that the z-axis for the spawn point of these gorillas was off slightly and it was spawning them below ground. They graphically appeared to the client at the zoneline/safepoint even though they were physically located elsewhere in the zone.

hehe so how many petitions did you receive from players being attacked by an invisible horde of raging gorillas?

Do you understand the word "graphically?" It's merely a visible bug, the mob/pet is physically located at its natural spawn point, so you can't get aggroed from the zone line this way.

if that was directed at me... why yes, yes i do. if they are "graphically" at the zone line but physically somewhere else, you wont see them attacking you hence making them for all intent and purpose invisible
