It was a mix of shield AC not being different from regular AC, AC being hardcapped easily, warriors needing DW for threat, no good shields, and no shield AAs.

We will have a softcap here. The devs don't want to retune mobs vs a hardcap.

Yep my memory was wrong. I was thinking PoP era. Definitely remember warriors using shield on General Rape, Hebbabylis and Rallos Zek (time). It made a pretty big tanking and aggro difference that you had to compensate for.

is actually a pretty solid tanking weapon vs very strong targets, but unless you wanna blow mallets or something on every mob you'd be better off with SoDs vs most things.

That's the one I was thinking. And I thought the warrior cap was higher than that. That looks low for warrior.

How I remember it going down was tanks would use DW until defensive dropped then they would swap to 1h / shield to extend their tanking and save the tank swap as long as possible. More specifically due to most guilds having a main tank who was best geared and a only a few other decent geared tanks. Forcing you to ride out your MT as long as possible, since he had a decent chance of survival even without defensive.

ele - take out the bash/kick hits for 236, 255, and 259.

276 is min under defensive which is why there's a spike there.

So things that are off about Avatar of War:

1) DI and DB. DI should be 45 and DB should be 254.
2) Attack Speed appears to be too fast.
3) Kick and Bash damage is using the DI here. It should basically just hit for the mob's DB (254+ an insignificant amount more).

Here's the relevant snippet from my log. I missed a mini CH for 433 hp when I scrolled back up after dying, which is why I thought something went wrong. Truth is, he kicked the shit out of my with a flurry. =/ The two rounds between the CH and my death was 6831 damage (that's subtracting heals I got in between). I have 6408 hp. You'll notice Andelia's heal was about 1 second from landing on me in Daebola's log. *sigh*

His base damage is off. Alunova told me he had set all the mobs. Maybe it wasn't patched.
