the problem with intelligent ideologues is that they are fiercely rational generally on about half their issues and too confident to recognize the inconsistencies in their other positions. that's Shapiro. smart guy and cute too, but super mad blinded by a mix of arrogance, fidelity and a a lifetime of thorough and reinforced indoctrination.
