How to: buy character with plat?

how do i safely do this without being scammed? how do i change passwords on account as i cannot seem to do it with my own account? plz help. id like this to work out.

If you are able to legitimately make the plat to buy a toon, you really shouldn't have to ask how to do something like change an account password....

This is so deeply illogical it hurts... Knowledge of how eqemu works is not required to farm plat. There is absolutely no connection between them in any realm other than that of your own pathetic idiocy.

Fair enough, just find it hard that someone who can afford to buy an account wouldn't know how to change a password or escrow.

But in any case, I would use a 3'rd person service like said above to make sure you don't get robbed.

Some accounts sell for as low as 10-15k....

Getting some good info guys thx. So it sounds like I may have never validated my email with the eq emu website. Yes this is my account and i have never even logged into it besides when I made it years ago. I would think that I validated it at the time or I wouldn't have the account but I don't specifically recall doing it, been so long. Will this site re send a new validation?

Thank you for being so helpful and not jumping to judgement. Trying to change my own password I click on the link in getting started for creating login server account and I get

MammothMafioso, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

To be safe you need a 3rd person or "middleman" to handle the toon and plat transfer. People like Bobbarker used to do things like that. Not sure who does now. A friend you both agree would work that you both trust.

So did you buy this account at one time or is this your original account? Only reason i ask if because ive only ever seen that error when after buying a account and changing Emulogin email then have to goto the new email and validate it and it have a hour or 2 hangup between me validating and it allowing me to change login info.

I've done a lot of account sales and buys, etc. If you plan on buying an account you need to get the person's full EQ EMU info and go here: http://www.eqemulator.org/

After logging in with the current login/password, click on the User CP panel and change the account password and then the account email. Next go to the email address you just changed it to and open up that email to confirm the email change. Finally, go into the Login server accounts and change the password.

It is best to only buy accounts when dealing with someone with a good rep on the forums or in-game. The buyer always hands in the full amount of plat up-front. So the buyer has to trust the seller 100%.
