Default Nillipuss / Reebo Leafsway

I have now turned in 8 jumjum stalks looted off of Nillipuss. I confirmed they would not stack with purchased/ground spawn jumjum. Not only does Reebo not give me a reward, he says nothing at all when given the jumjum. I gave him 5 of the jumjum one at a time and the last three all at once. He just takes them and walks away.

He probably doesn't have multiquesting enabled.

Need to hand 4 jumjums in at once (unstacked, one in each trade slot), which is what the quest requires.

*edit for clarification

Also remember to not give them in a stack, give him 4 Jumjum Stalks that are unstacked.

Yup, I gave him four this time and it worked. I remember giving him them one at a time on the original server because he had a comment about Nillipuss still has more to take. His quest giving speech says nothing about he needs four so if you are new to the quest how would you ever know to give him four at once to satisfy him?

I wonder if I can get reimbursed for the 8 he took from me?

Has anyone ever received Runners Ring?

I've never seen one, and I've done somewhere in the neighborhood of 50 turnins.

a few forum posts from Zam:

2001:
The first time I turned in the JumJum I didn't get anything. I got the runner's ring on my second attempt last night. I'm a warrior and didn't want to give up my silver amber ring, so I gave the runner's ring to a rogue friend of mine. Nice looking ring in inventory though.

So it should exist,

2002:
Yeah its real. I had one a couple of years ago before they added the stats. It was just a "MAGIC ITEM" and people used to scam others saying the magic effect was faster run speed. Mind you this was when jboots were easier to get and this ring was considered rare.

originally statless not sure when they added the +2 sta/agi but we are probably past that point.

The main issue with the Nillipuss quest is that there is no support for npcs picking up items off the ground. It will be developed eventually, so until that time, you won't see his famous :

Quote:
Nillipuss says 'Look what I've found! What a great find! It used to be yours, but now it is mine!'
Many npcs in different zones had unique text for picking up items, and it wasn't that safe to drop transfer near towns.

Pending update:

-Added multiquest support for Reebo.
-Added Runner's Ring as a possible reward
-Fixed Nillipuss pathing
-Differentiated the 3 different types of jumjum stalks

I still need Reebo's intermediate multiquest text, so until that is found, Reebo will say : "I need correct intermediate multiquesting text. You need more jumjum!".

Nillipuss says 'Caught me you did but what will you do when I crush you and eat you in my jumjum stalk stew?'

You may need to kill him four times for the four Jumjum Stalks. Bring the four items to Reebo:

Reebo Leafsway says 'Oh good! I see you have taught that nasty Nillipuss a thing or two! Good. But it seems to me that he has stolen more jumjum than this. Perhaps he needs another lesson?'

Reebo Leafsway says 'Excellent!! You must have taught ol' Nillipuss a great deal! But he never seems to learn.. Oh well. The Stormreapers and all of Rivervale owe you a debt of gratitude. Please accept this token of our appreciation.'
