Default Multible Accounts

Hi,

Is it possible to run multible accouts? Think I read people have been having problems doing this because multible accounts with same IP are not allowed.

How do you handle multible accounts behind a router...2 pcs in same househld?

ya you can run multiple clients. I actually wasn't aware multi boxing wasn't allowed so I intended on duoing a sham/monk when I started. When I pulled up the 2nd client however and tried to connect I was hit with a "you have been disconnected message" which led me to the forums where it was identified that multi boxing is PROHIBITED. No, you don't need more than 1 PC to do it, it actually just boils down to if your PC can handle multiple clients (which seriously if it can't handle 1999 EQ x2 you ought to upgrade)

instead i just convinced my wife to play [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

You can only run one client, unless you ask for IP exemption - which is only for an actual 2nd person to play. You cannot multi-box here - if you are found out, it's a pretty swift ban AFAIK.

I would think yes you would need more than one PC to do it, because on P99 having two clients running on the same system is called multi-boxing. I highly doubt you have two people playing EQ on the same computer at the same time in two client windows.... unless I'm daft and have missed how it's possible.

I was actually saying that prior to finding out that MB'ing was disallowed I just opened up the client twice on my comp. So yea 1 PC is required to perform MB'ing which is NOT ALLOWED.

instead my wife and i just sit at the same desk (8 foot mahogany wrap around on ebay for $200 ftw) and nerd it out with 2 comps 2 laptops and 6 screens haha

Don't forget spell checkers on web browsers weren't really common yet in 1999! [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
