Default unable to create character

whenever I try to create a character, the system gets a disconnected/connection lost error once I hit the 'submit name for approval' button. This happens on any server I try. PEQ P99 etc. I have tried launching from both the EQ icon with the 'no patch' target, as well as through the EMUlauncher. I'm at a loss.

TIA

-S

Ill try reinstalling. I was trying to make a human necro. So definately not a non-classic character.

i am tethering in using my phone. Do they block ports or change around my source too often for the server to establish a connection? [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

edit: Just realized I play other MMOs just fine on my tethered connection.... So now im only more confused

I'd say that your phone isnt sending packets fast enough for the server and its constantly booting you. i know at times ive had to use my phone to tether its taken me 4 or 5 times just to get to character screen even in good 4g areas. So i would say that that is your issue.
