Default 5 WoW Refugees LF Guild

Okay so here's the scoop,

Last week I got to reminiscing about the Golden Age of Everquest in my Warcraft guild's gchat. After telling them about the superior class dynamic, awesome quest lines, experience loss on death, importance of racial and class factions, etc, etc I convinced them to roll over on P99. We're having a blast so far but it would be nice if we could join a larger community of players to make the world feel more, well, alive. Granted, our WoW server is super empty and P99 has more players on at peak hours than it.

I looked around this subforum but it seems like everyone has a pretty steep level requirement on joining. This makes a lot of sense to me because I assume the server gets a lot of nostalgic rerolls who get owned by bats, remember this game is actually hard, try to mooch handouts, and eventually quit within 2-3 days. This is probably a headache for the GM and players who have to deal with their shit. Well, that's not us. We generally roll with our group, and coming off the train wreck that is Warcraft these days the fact that we see a substantial power increase off whatever garbage an orc drops thrills us.

We're just a few friends looking for a guild with active players who log on at least a few times a week. We're not just here to fulfill some nostalgic wankery for a few days and quit but would like to actually join this server and play Everquest. We're all adults, more or less, and wont muck up your gchat with mooching, stupid questions answered on the wiki, or anything like that. We're veteran MMO players, my druid friend and I going back to Classic EQ. We like playing games together and with other people, and we're quite good at it. Basically, we're all nerds with a slant towards neckbeardism. We're all in our mid20's to 30's looking to play the only truly great MMO to ever hit the market. In a few months I'm sure we'll be strong assets to your guild and community, anyone interested in having us?

Anyway, if you want to chat some more, have some room for us, or just want to level some lowbie alts you can whisper me in game, I'm Toodle (lvl 9 Warrior) the self appointed leader of our band of adventurers.

My friends are
Djara - 6 Druid
Ellouelle - 5 Necro
Lilias - 9 Cleric
Ephyria - 5 Wizard

We're all low level still, mostly due to deaths (omfg why doesn't this game have maps) and rerolls (omfg why do i have to pay attention to mana bars) - I'm pretty jealous that some of these guys are getting that experience for the first time. but we've hit our stride and should be leveling up pretty quickly now. Thanks for reading.

Blue is garbage unless you want to sit and wait for a camp for 3 days or unless you want to sit at Trakanon spawn waiting for it to randomly spawn in a 3 day period. Playing with 5 people I would suggest you play on Red99. With 5 people you can do pretty much anything and you won't get ganked by twinks. Also the exp is turned up and you don't have to wait for someone to finish camping something because you can kill them out of it. GL either way.

Blue is fine, don't let the loud forum trolls confuse you. The red server is the penitentiary system of p99 which is why the population rarely breaks 100.

Yes! Join the red server. Especially if you play overnight. Population increase of 20% if you bring your friends!

Wow, i dont know if this is a coincidence or what but EXACTLY this happened to me.. My guild chat was talking about EQ and it made me try to connect to project1999 again and i was successful I was playing on Feenix WoW Emerald Dream at the time.
I am also looking to start new, I have no characters yet as i downloaded the game, got connected, and went to bed. But add another refugee to your group if you need one!

Pretty similar situation!

We're starting fresh again as well,

Shadowknight + Shaman + Enchanter

Shoot me a message on Grruk (Lv6 SK) to group, or if you find a nice guild [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Not a forum troll. But if you read the Blue forums then the Red Forums, you will see where all the trolls are. Everything high end is way over camped on Blue and if you want to do any raiding you have to join a few guilds that fight for FTE (First to Engage). If your the first person to hit the mob you win the loot. Or you could just a server where you get what you want by PvPing for it. If your going to play a 14 year old game, why not making it interesting. Pop been 160-180 a lot recently due to Blue players realizing that building their 5th geared alt in Kunark isn't as fun as they thought it would be.

Welcome to the server guys. There are a few starter guilds with no entry requirements but if you are in it for the long haul (50+) you'll probably be leaving them at some point; it is nice to have people to talk to in the mean time. Knights Who Say Ni, Supremacy, Tears of Prexus (or whatever Yiblaan calls it now) are a few of them.

What you're not saying is that red99 has the same problem, but you can kill people to get the camp....

Problem is that Nihilim has the end game on lockdown and there's no variance so they know where they need to be and when.

Same problem... they just want more people to join red so that all the work they've done matters more. I know this is going to rub some people the wrong way... but if you have no one to play with all those pixels matter as much as if they played EQ1 solo on their own private server.

Actually due to the lower pop, not every high level camp is camped. You don't have to wait in line to pull Spore King. You also don't have to sit at Trakanon's room on poopsock mountain for 3 days. Variance only turns this game into a poopsockfest. I would rather my enemy know when a dragon spawns so they can contest instead of it being based on who can assemble a force faster. I like competition and with Red, there is a possibility of competition. On Blue, the competition is getting the first swing on a mob. I thought that was a joke when I first started looking into Blue. When I found out it was real, I knew Blue was not for me.
