Default Bye P1999 from Sandows

Just to the few of you out there who knew me well enough from grouping, etc. My account was banned for RMT, in retrospect I feel like an idiot for not trying to find out if it was against the rules or not. (I legitimately didnt know) I had multiple other players I grouped with along the way tell me about Platlord and figured...well if other people in game are doing it, why can't I.....it must be ok.

I bought 15k (twice) and twinked a lowbie rogue and got some gear for myself...I finally wasnt the only twink in groups. I had no interest in doing any more RMT, no reason to go crazy but for once I felt I wasn't undergeared in every group I was in.

I guess a lot of people probably already know RMT is a bannable offense, I didn't...again I guess that is my own fault for being ignorant/not being on the forums all the time. I just relied on information from players in the game....you know kind of like back in P1999.

Just wanted to say goodbye to those of you I shared good times with, I don't have enough time to think about leveling up another character from scratch after already doing it once. I am really going to miss this game, I hope this saves someone else from doing what I did.

damn. is rmt really this prominent?

i kind of feel left out.

i also kind of feel like a winner for not spending money on a 14 yr old emulated version of a game.

for real though sorry to hear that man, can always start over, though i can see why you'd not want to.

i wont troll, lesson learned. my only question is how does one think this is not against the rules? like seriously, its like buying drugs from a guy at a corner and not knowing it was illegal. if it were not against the rules, i assure this project would have the business on lock-down and making $$$$

Kinda hard to use that as a example. Drugs are illegal in RL and your always taught not to buy/use them. Today's MMO's make it ok to spend RL money on games so people just sometimes think its ok to do it here.

Why Sandows? wasn't the gear I loaded you up with sufficient ? I suppose more fool me for sinking 1-2k on random new players to help them out.

Thinking it was ok came from hearing about it from multiple players on my way leveling up, i wasn't reading the forums everyday...like I said I got info from the players in the game. In the game...my experience was hearing lots of talk about doing it and not hearing any talk about it being a bannable offense, etc. I'm not blaming anyone but myself, because a little alarm in my head did go off while I was doing it...but in the end I made the wrong decision.

Posted everywhere on the website, I could have sworm (haven't logged in in a while) it was plastered on the yellow text upon logging in, people talk about it in EC at least once a day...

You seriously wrote this up to sound like you're a victim? You're not a victim. At all.
