Default "Unlocking/locking" UI stuff

Hiya folks

so currently, my UI is kinda whacked.
when I started up p99, my ui was of the live version, so I set up my ui like I would in live. While doing so, my right click option has been disabled for some reason, so I was not able to do anything other than move stuff. It's still like that, but I learned to live with it.

time jump to today

Dinged to 14, SoW would not go in my book, so found a fix and while doing so, updated my ui files because I didnt extract it in the right place the first time. Now, I got SoW, spell gems are fixed, my hotbar is vertical instead of horizontal like classic, but Im still using default. my only problem is, I can change the size of my chatbox/move it (with no right click option to filter stuff and what not), but my hotkey box will not budge at all. It sits in the middle bottom of my screen so part of it is out of view and covers my chat box.

I was wondering if there was a way to fix this?

tl;dr my some of my ui stuff can be move, some cant.
Thank you

You should be able to right click on the hotbutton window itself, then choose unlock, if it was locked.

Does your right mouse button function outside of Everquest?

In the options menu in game, (alt + o), under the Mouse tab, is your mouse set to Right Handed Mouse?

That's all I can think of :P

my right click functions fine out of EQ and is set to right handed mouse

the thing about the right click on the windows is, I cant get that window to come back up anymore since it disappeared on day 1 of making my character.

edit- on a side note, I looked through my files to look for UI_aveyn, it wasnt there. hmm

Which window?

hotbutton window is (alt + H)

One thing I might suggest is resetting your UI. Go to options (alt+o), then General tab, then click the Load UI Skin button.

Uncheck where it says Keep your layout. Then, load a skin. This should revert it to default positions. (note: this will remove any macros or placement you might want to keep)

well alt H only hides the hotbar, doesnt "unlock" it.
all chat window/spell slots and such moved around but lacked the right click option
hotbar did not move and lacked right click option

resetting the UI for now as I cant find a fix. thank you for your help =)

edit - resetting fixed most of my problem. I can now move stuff around, but still lack right click option. weeee
edit 2 - with the new UI changes which made the hotbars vertical (ala classic), is there a way to show 2 hotbars or no

If your using the Live version of the Ui then that would be the biggest reason as to why your having issues. Have you tried using just the supplied defaultwith the basic UI change zip? If you need to re download the files they can be found in my sig.

the other thing to try is to temporarily move your UI_name_project1999.ini file from out of your EQ folder while out of game and let the system make a new one and see if you have the same issue.

Unfortunately neither of your suggestions worked. I first tried moving my ini file and I had the same problem with my hotkeys missing.

I used the basic UI with the changes and still had the same problem. any other ideas?
