I prefer the Everfrost newbie canyons.

Check the nearby vendors if you can. Also check the vendors in Neriak foreign quarter, and the inns in EC if you're in the area. I've found entire stacks on vendors, sometimes with a little digging.

EC is especially crawling with spiderlings. Plus The Feerott has them as well.

Really great place is the spider hole in Field of Bone, loads of spiderlings and great drop rate.

East Karana crag spiders, near highpass. They drop between 1 and 8 silks.

those spiders in EK drop spider silk, not spiderling - I always go to the ferrott myself as a druid. Quick port in and the spiderlings are next to the ring.

Everyone in this thread who is saying anything other than Field of Bone has no idea what they're talking about. There is a small underground tomb in Field of Bone that has only spiderling spawns, and a lot of them (20ish). You can easily kill them all, then wait for them to repop ~6 minutes from when you killed them. Beats out all other options hands-down.

It depends on how many you are looking to store at a time. If you want to store a ton at once, sure, fob is the best. But if you are only looking for a few, feerrot is best. You need to take travel time into consideration for farming silks. As a druid, I would get 10 pelts or so and have enough silks in 20 mins, which is less time than it would take for me to port to dl, run to KC, port to ej, then run to fob.

*shrugs* I liked having my bank clear of pelts and silks.
