Smithing as an Iksar?

Hey guys
So I recently join p1999 and made an Iksar Shaman and I thought it would be nice to have a set of banded armour, in order to afford to craft it I also took up tailoring to sell cured silk and leveled up an enchanter to enchant silver and camped him in LOIO. Finally I reached my goal and made myself some banded, but then I thought why stop there, why not aim for cultural iksar armour? So I got banded to trivial, however I could not find bricks of high quality ore for ornate chain or blocks of medium quality ore for fine plate in Cabilis....are they not sold there? If not are there any options for a young iksar to continue crafting?

either farm it (or buy off vendors that people sell it to) or farm up padding and skip to fs

I wouldn't mind skipping right to fine plate, however I cannot find the blocks of medium quality ore either to make the folded metal sheets...pretty sure I've checked all the merchants and the wiki doesn't have anybody listed for cabilis that sells it either

I haven't seen medium quality ore here yet.. Just large bricks of high quality and blocks of high quality. If you're looking for blocks of HQ I know the druid outside of Sol A in lavastorm has tons of them as people are always selling them after farming the goblins inside. That would be a very long ways to travel from cab though, and she might be KOS.

Not that it will help you as an Iksar, but you can find the ore to make sheets in the smithing shop near the Bard guild in North Freeport. When I was working on my Tier'dal smithing, I made the sheets on a different toon (the trivial is pretty low, 35 or so)) and had a friend transfer them to my Dark Elf. It's tedious, but it will work. I believe it took me between 200-300 combines to get from 115 to 188 and be done with fine plate.
