Default Nooby Druid or Nec

I play a wiz on Blue but get bored (origionally from SZ) I want to try out Red and thinking about rolling a druid since they are a tad less gear dependant and can solo pretty well. I also thought about Necro but hear they are pretty terrible PvP. I played on the Newt team so I have no experience with Necro's to know if this is true. Since I wont know anyone to when i start would druid be a decent choice?

Druid is a really good choice. But lacks the firepower of wiz. But if you like to dot, regen, and range, you can keep engaged in pvp for much longer than a wizard can.

Same thing with necros, but druid has the ability to finish the job and get that sweet sweet juicy YT.

Both are good options. U might have more fun on druid who can group if bored of solo port and snipe people in pvp.

Druid also lets u PL ur friends later down the road.

Necros are bad on this server because of some horrible bugs with pets, dot resists, and people being smart enough to dispel/cure your dots when you land them.

I'd go druid personally.

Can't they just dispell the Druid DoT's too?

Yes, and necros have dots that require cure disease/poison

Yeah, but druids also have nukes to back them up. SoW, heals, self ports. If your smart you can keep dotting someone for a long while until they wear out. Or sneaky you can get them dots below buffs. Dotting in pvp on a druid is an attrition tactic or decoy. Once the fight starts getting close you can nuke/stun/nuke to kill if you've managed to wear your opponent down some or make them strip their buffs.

Its not perfect or going to win every situation. But it gives you options.

Necro's have shadowstep and harmsheild. Pets are totally worthless. Taps are not as effective in pvp here.

I have a mid level druid here. It's a great starting class simply for the fact you have sow all the time and the easiest means of transportation, which I can't stress enough as being vital on a box with such a low pop. PvP wise its pretty bland. Pretty much buff run nuke nuke run heal nuke. Any good pvper has a pumice for root snare and swarms. Bury that levitate deep bro, ain't got time for no melee hittin u.
