1337 neckbeardism for p99 possible?
Any way the p99 emu could figure out how to evolve the everquest engine to this level?
http://www.theverge.com/2013/12/12/5...ality-business Involuntary neck movements while "moving" around in this more immersive interface = muscular neckbeardism.

the rift should still be able to function as a 2d viewing device. the gaming market haven't had a good headset in many years if ever. Carmack and the others at the firm have openly stated that the 3d capabilities or not to the standard meet the vision they have for this product we can only hope that they do not delay a commercial release of the rift itself in order to try and maxymiser the 3d aspect
and o m g nexus voice translator just made me look dyslexic and somehow yes still managed how to properly spell dyslexic twice wow

I actually have a developer kit. I hacked some 3rd party drivers to make EQ work with the Rift. Let me tell you it is a BAD ASS feeling walking around Upper Guk and feeling like you are in those caves that you have been walking around for years. Same goes with the scale of the Dreadlands. This is going to change the gaming landscape.

I have a devkit too. A few quick thoughts:
- The Rift would probably not be a viable option for any amount of long-term play. Games really should be designed with VR in mind from the outset or the experience will be uncomfortable. - The v1 devkit is very low res. It would be impossible to read any of the GUI text and maybe even NPC names. Even with the 1080p HD devkit it would still probably be difficult to see text clearly, much less type without being able to see your hands (very disorienting) - It's weird having any HUD at all in a VR experience that's absolutely fixed to your face. What's more, anything near the edge of the screen is invisible or difficult to focus both eyes on clearly. Games with HUDs have to keep that info close to the center of the screen and as integrated with the gameplay as possible. For example, the Oculus VR demo Crashland (I think that's it's name) puts a holographic radar tracker attached to one of your weapons so that you look down at it periodically and it feels like it's part of the experience, not an afterthought. - I get very nauseous trying to use the Rift for actual gameplay for any amount of time longer than like 20 minutes. The nausea is especially bad when using hacks like bigsykedaddy mentioned. There's a proprietary DirectX VR driver coming out in the near future that supposedly fixes this but I wonder whether it will support something as old as the Titanium client. All that said, I definitely want to try this out. Bigsykedaddy, I assume you just fired up Vireio then Titanium? Did you have to do any ini editing?

Yeah I agree it is low rez and the game is not really made for VR. That being said if you turn the UI off and go into first person, it is cool having the feeling of being in dungeons that you've spent so much time in. Yeah you have to edit the Vireio drivers.
