![]() So last night I was on my brother's account to consolidate gear and money. Now, yesterday I was caught by Derubael, and I am not going to complain cause this guy helped me out a few days ago, and I got the hammer. I know a lot of people do what I am describing and I am sure the GMs know as well, but what are our options?
Sure, we can continue to try and pull the wool over the eyes of the GMs and possibly get caught and lose everything. They are completely justified to do it too, it is against the rules to box. This is obviously a no-go. We can ask a friend to hold our stuff. Completely legal, no mess unless your friend turns into a jerk all the sudden. So why don't we all just do this?! It is great, right? Well what if we didn't come to p99 with a friend to play with? Or you are like me and you are not social enough/play intermittently? This just isn't an option that is available to everyone. . like me. ='( Oh well. Or we can take the route that is EVERYONE'S favorite, ask a complete stranger! Yaaaaay I love to lose all my money and gear! Yeah, I am not going to dwell on this, it is simply not an option. We can also do the good old drop trading. Much classic, so ease. Except you lose the option to give an alt some start up capital and you risk losing all your stuff. We all remember the days of coin dropping and why it was removed, but in case you don't here is a reminder. http://everquest.allakhazam.com/story.html?story=304 It was never because they hated the mechanic, it was because of scammers and trolls dropping copper coins all over the place. I agree with the inability to drop coins on this server cause this server has a tendency to contain a few trolls. all in all this option isn't an awful one. If I really wanted to drop come coin on the toon, I could buy a gem, drop that with the gear and voila! Money and gear! My complaint is that it just isn't safe. We can also look at the completely non-classic feature of varied raid spawn time- oops wrong mechanic, I meant to say shared banks. I don't see an issue with this becoming an option other than people becoming red in the face as they explain that it is a non-classic feature. But on live I could use a second account when this was still being thought up. I know it is probably one of those very buggy things that the higher powers haven't wanted to touch and I would understand that if that is in fact what the real issue was. From what I understand and have read though, the issue is just that they don't want to implement the feature on the moral high ground of classic features. The way I see it is it would be a benefit to the server, it is a safe way to transfer both money and gear that isn't breaking the rules. Now, I want to add that while I probably sound like a whiny person who just got caught, I don't intend it to. Like I said at the beginning the GM that got me, Derubael, helped me out the other day by getting a rotted corpse recovered. He was a very nice guy and I am glad it was him that got me.

![]() Yeah, ask a guildmember or someone who looks like they have an established character. Avoid lvl 1 anonymous nobody characters in EC.

Stranger things have happened. But I agree, this is usually the best route. When doing my highest profile trades I usually just ask a very close friend on Steam to login to one of my accts so the gear goes char to char with no middleman. For anything under 10k anyone who isn't brand new will do really. Who is gonna ruin their rep for peanuts?

![]() I'll be honest, I knew about that, but when I was writing I totally spaced over that. Completely viable option. >.>
I'd almost put that in the same ball park as asking a friend though. I do like it though.

![]() I generally try to find a level 60 in a guild in EC Tunnel if I need something, or I will drop it in an odd location.

Stick to large well established Guilds and you should have no problem at all. Any Guild represented on the Raiding forums I would call large and well established. I know I get requests for transfers all the time from complete strangers, and it's because of the tag floating over my name versus my personal reputation I'm sure. If you have a problem contact an officer of the Guild and they will assist you. Transfers are a really poor reason to get banned for boxing! Regards, Mg

![]() We here at Project1999 hate for you to take the time to make a lengthy post whenever the answer is very obvious. However, we do hope you enjoy the stay.

Most of my alts are in random locations across the game and I hate bothering people for teleports, so I end up just dropping em in places where my alts are. If I were to be transferring Fungi or Manastone type gear I would take the time to find someone though. Since replacing those isn't nearly as tedious as replacing an HP Ring.
