Default Book recommendation

After ready the current book thread I was hoping to get some specific recommendations based on my favorite authors list. I'm always looking for new (or new to me) authors to read. I like fantasy epics, my favorite authors are:

Elizabeth Haydon
Jaqueline Carey
Robin Hobb
Tolkien
Terry Brooks
Terry Goodkind
Angus Wells (The Lords of the Sky is one of my all time favorites)
George RR Martin
Patrick Rothfuss

I cut my teeth on Dragonlance books, so I've considered going and reading all of the Forgotten Realms books.

Any recommendations would be welcome. Thanks!

David Drake has a series that's called Lord of the Isles that I really liked when I was younger, and Fred Saberhagen has a Book of Swords series that is very good, including all of the stories.

if you go to a kick ass bit T. file sharing place and search for it you will find a file called top 100 sci-fi books.

that's more sci-fi audio books than my local library has
This was the only place I could find Ender's Game. So that was the only part of the collection I downloaded so far. It was a really well done audiobook, with a large voice actor cast.

Get you some Asimov. He is really popular as an author for a reason. A great deal of his works are merely short stories that you can easily jump into, and jump out of should you not like any specific one.

A great deal of his work is hard to say why it is good, but perhaps no series of his is more popular than Foundation. Pick up a copy of Foundation (the first 4 short stories in the series), and read the introduction + the first 2 short stories. If that doesn't hook you on Asimov's stuff, it just isn't for you. Believe me, this book series beat out Lord of the Rings for the Hugo Award for Best Series of All Time, and it deserved it, lol.

You can read the dragonlance series - that would keep you busy.

If you like George RR Martin and Rothfuss, check out anything by these authors:

Brandon Sanderson - Mistborn trilogy, The Way of Kings
Scott Lynch - The Lies of Locke Lamora and its sequels
Joe Abercrombie - The First Law trilogy, then his standalone novels in same universe
Mark Lawrence - Broken Empire trilogy
Brent Weeks - Night Angel trilogy
Peter V. Brett - Warded Man books

Should keep you busy for a long time.
