Some points that seem verified researching, but aren't working atm:

- He should be scowling to all, was indiff currently.
- Mobs in zone should assist him, dragons included. Ran him past much of everything in zone, nothing assisted.
- Has a proc? Some people talking about 160dmg dd cold, others about ae.

Some guys saying he has 40k hp in 2001 posts, but 2002 posts and on they say 10k? Fought him and methinks he didn't have much hp at all. Snare landed every cast, seemed immune to fear. Some claims of high MR, some claims that slow does land. Rly conflicting info on this guy all over the place, so maybe they changed him a bit at some point?

Pending update,

-Increased his HP to 20k
-Scowls to all pcs, assisted by all npcs

Throughout my logs, I couldn't find any instance of him proccing or casting. Perhaps its from a dragon, or something I don't have logged.

It seems that it was released in conjunction with some ongoing story on EQ.com and Al'Kabor's GM events (Scepter of Al'Kabor, among other cool GM items) leading up to SoL release. https://web.archive.org/web/20020207...y_research.htm

A new wandering mob in Western Wastes named 'Makil Rargon' could possibly be the mob we need to speak to in order to initiate a quest for one or all of the upcoming Gate Suppression spells -

Makil Rargon says 'Greetings, Shard . I am Makil Rargon, an esteemed assistant to the great wizard [Al'Kabor]. What can i help you with?

You say, 'Who is AlKabor?'

Makil Rargon says 'Al'Kabor is the most powerful wizard on all fo Norrath. I'm currently assisting him with his fusibility research'

You say, 'How are you assisting his fusibility research?'

Makil Rargon says 'I'm afraid the master has not authorized me to disclose any information about his fusibility research at this time. Perhaps when the experiments are completed I will be able to explain it to you. For now, I must get back to work.
