![]() I will post more information on this thread once I figure out how this exactly happens. On my set up I have the numlock key as my auto-run key. While I was on auto-run and messaging using shift-up to get previous message, the game seems to have the shift key stuck. This being said, if i hit up it acts like the shift key is down still and gets previous messages. I've tried re-hitting the shift key, hitting enter, ALT-Entering the screen and maximizing it again. The only way out seems to be to camp out. This doesn't happen all the time, but seems to happen when certain button mashing takes place.

![]() Strange, it doesn't happen all the time. In fact, I don't know if the auto run has anything to do with it.

![]() Update: happened again today while strafing. Interesting thing though, I closed the game completely and my shift key seemed to be glitched on my desktop for everything else too. I restarted my computer and that fixed it. Maybe something on the client end is bugging the computer?

![]() Seeing your last post made me think of this.
Try turning it off? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/StickyKeys | ||

![]() Yeah i have this happen too sometimes. just have to smack the shift key a few times to get it to stop. No popup comes up like i'm activating stickykey like it does when you hold down a key though outside of EQ.

![]() in my opinion this has nothing to do with eq... I had this problem with other keys. it just happened randomly for no reason maybe some water went in your keyboard lol. Just saying if its getting on your nerve try a new keyboard worth the 15 bux did the job for me!

![]() haha I know it seems funny but it only happens while playing Everquest. I use my computer frequently with other stuff and have never had that issue. I agree that it looks to be more of a hardware issue than anything else. Ill get a new keyboard and see if that solves it, since after all I am using the computers default keyboard. Im glad to hear im not the only one with this goofy problem. lol

![]() whenever one of my keys are flaking out in EQ, I mash the left side of my keyboard - ALT, CTRL, SHIFT, like just wave my hand over that corner of they kb. whatever else u wanna mash in there, usually fixes all my problems. So try that next time
