Burning Rapier

Started up on Red, got 20 last night. Is this a quest I should attempt 30+?

No experience with it on live or any other time, this is my first rogue.

Yeah I saw, so is that a vote for no? Haha. Doing it would mean I'd skip buying any other upgrades.

I think it's an absolutely horrible weapon at this stage in the game, and I thought that 2 years ago when I started too. It's a decently written quest, but for your precious, soon to be taken off your corpse plat, I'd advise a more modern weapon.

Haha. Point taken, just figured red isnt "as farmed" as blue, so been going over quests to see what I can get.

And I've only had 5p stolen so far! Been good about banking.

So guess I'll rock my dragoon dirk until I can purchase something, Ty.

There are also drops in Mistmoore and SolA that you won't be able to get solo. I love the quest, it's one of my favorites, but its definitely not something you'll be able to do without some help. The money sink is an annoyance too. The quest is more worth doing for the lore and sense of accomplishment than the reward itself.

The funniest part is that the original Burning Rapier was actually way worse than it is currently, but the rogue community put up a big enough fuss when the quest was solved that the item did get a small buff.

When I was on Live and at near the lowest level for it when it first came out. I used it quite often and it made a decent Off-hand for awhile until I found better. The quest was pretty damn good though.
