When can Shamans REALLY start soloing?

So when I read about shaman soloing, I hear different stories about when they can start viably soloing. Anywhere from level 24, some say 34, and then I've heard 50+.

My question is when can a modestly equipped shaman start soloing? I just hit 34 on mine and I have my pet now. Would it be safe for me to hit up OT or something and start soloing?

34 for sure.

Shamans can solo 1-60... It's just the 14-24 period is very slow unless you have a GFG / Fungi sort of twinkage.

At 24 they get Regen (5/tick) and Canni. Which is huge for recovery/minimizing downtime. Better DoTs and eventually a pet at 34 speed it up even more.

50+ is quick once you get your epic. You just root 5 mobs and set a timer. Epic DoT each and refresh root on each before it ends.

I guess now that I have my pet, I should probably get my shovel, right?

I only summoned my pet a couple of times but each time it was a light blue con. Is it like mage pets where you can eventually get a pet that is yellow con?

Shaman pet will never be a yellow con.

You can shovel to get your best pet... I don't recall the max level of each though. The wiki has a pretty good guide for pet info.

shaman soloing is going to be slow for a while, i think it sped up around 44. 49+ and 51+ with epic is when they shine

Level 1.

As a Barbarian Shaman I've leveled all the way from 1 to 56, pretty much entirely solo. Now granted I spent a LOT of time meditating until I got Cannabalize, but it can be done.

I've pretty much always solo'd as a shammy too.
