Default Terraria

Steam Sale for $1.99

So very worth it if you haven't played it yet.

It's like a 2D version of Minecraft in a way. It's a randomly generated sandbox world that you can adventure in, dig, mine, gather and build in. There's also a progression of armor, weapons and bosses to kill, which is why I liked this game much more than Minecraft. It's got a heavier RPG element to it.

every big update my friends marathon like a week straight on our server and do everything we possibly can with the new stuff

anxiously awaiting starbound or terraria 2.0 to release

+1 would recommend, especially if on sale. $2 for probably upwards of 200 hours of fun if you get really into it is amazing

I bought this for my vita to try it because everyone raves about minecraft style sandbox games. They really just arent my style i mean its cool you can just fully explore and build stuff but theres no direction theres no story theres no anything its just you in an open world able to build and explore.

interesting but lost my interest very quickly, games like this are why i am not very excited for eqnext. people are saying that eqn is going to be a big sandbox where you can build and harvest etc, just not for me 8(

Great game, I have yet to dump a lot of time into it. Right now I am working my way through the Hell/Lava area trying to find the big boss man so that I can go into the second phase of the game. If anyone has any suggestions on how to find the sucker let me know.

Played this first, then tried Minecraft. Liked Minecraft better (mainly because of 3D + first person view). It basically IS Minecraft.

Kill demons till you find one holding a voodoo doll. Throw the voodoo doll in the lava (not sure if time of day is a requirement for him, but, it could be so best to do so at night). Get ready for a fun fight, if it's your first time fighting him...

Also the guide has to be alive when you do this.
