Default Error in your GUI XML files

Ok, I've tried looking for this and nothing seems to be working. Running Windows 8, using DuxaUI.

I get the error when I go to load into the character select screen.

The error reads: Error in your GUI XML files. Check UIErrors.txt

Then I open my UIErrors.txt file and get this (Truncated a bit since it is a wall of errors):

UIErrorLog created at Fri May 09 18:53:20 2014
[Fri May 09 18:53:20 2014] Warning: file EQUI.xml not found in directory UIFiles\duxa\. Attempting to use file from Default skin.

[Fri May 09 18:53:20 2014] Warning: file EQUI_Templates.xml not found in directory UIFiles\duxa\. Attempting to use file from Default skin.

[Fri May 09 18:53:24 2014] Warning: file UIFiles\duxa\window_pieces03.tga not found in directory UIFiles\duxa\. Attempting to use file from Default skin.
[Fri May 09 18:53:24 2014] Warning: file UIFiles\duxa\AttackIndicator.tga not found in directory UIFiles\duxa\. Attempting to use file from Default skin.
[Fri May 09 18:53:24 2014] Warning: file UIFiles\duxa\window_pieces05.tga not found in directory UIFiles\duxa\. Attempting to use file from Default skin.

There's probably 100 errors or so that are listed in that file. I tried using DuxaAIO installer to reset my ui folders. No luck there. Anyone have a way to fix this and to prevent this from happening on the next update?

Thanks!

are your permissions set correctly? try running EQ as administrator and see if you have this issue.

another option is to restore an older UI from a backup. i have one available if you want to PM me.

Tried running as admin, still not getting any love. I'd love to get that UI, gonna PM you. I'll post if it fixes the issue.

Also, I am hearing that I maybe should not have over-written the FOLDERS, but only thrown the contents over with the new patch. Is this possibly the issue?

I literally did a "drag-and-drop" giving over-write permissions to everything that asked for it.

have you gone into the folders and verify that the files were there? which leads me to another question, are you running the game from program files or have you made your own directory?

a fresh install might be your best bet, but i would think there is a way to make it work without doing that.

Can you just list the lines that start with Error:, ignore the lines that say Warning:

I would really like to NOT re-install this thing. I lost one of my discs and I'd have to go get it from my brother's house. Tried doing a pirated version since I have the keys for it, but last time it came with a virus. This is miserable, I just wanna go kill pixels....

Thanks for working with me here!

Savok - None of them are "errors" just a huge wall of "warnings"

Thank you to everyone for your help. I have to go for awhile and won't be able to post. I was sent a set of old UI files, I'm gonna try to work with those. Hopefully I'll be able to get back up later tonight to see if it fixed the issues.

Again, thank you all for being so prompt with your responses. P99 community rocks!
