Marijuana withdrawal

I've been smoking pot daily for the past 4-5 years.

I am trying to take a break to lower my tolerance but whenever I try, i get a headache and feel like i have a fever until I take at least one hit.

Has anyone else had symptoms like this when trying to quit?
