Default Good Morning!

Good morning everyone and thank you for your time for reading this!

Just had a few questions and was hoping I could get some help. We're from live so bear with me!
Other than having issues downloading the titanium, I was wondering how healthy the population is?
Being that I have only checked this morning and seeing a few hundred, Does it get much higher and how does that translate to active grouping?
My wife and I would be starting fresh and would love to have others to play with.

We're from Live and my current server is dead. +- 200 or so in chat channels at any given time so we don't mind duo-ing which brings me to my next question.
Anyone have any suggestions for a good make up? As cray-cray as it sounds we played a War / SK combo and we loved it. I understand melee is VERY hard to play as a first toon but we love those classes.

Are we starting too late? Being that this has been around for so long I would hate to join such a top heavy game that we wont see anyone. Again, basing this off live servers and how they had to implement mercenaries to try and help out.
Are their any guilds actively recruiting fresh noobz? Only ones I've seen on the guild forum is for raiding.

Thank you for your time!

Blue Server is around 800-900 population
Red server is around 200-300 population

Both servers have guilds who will recruit fresh players. You are starting late, yes. On blue you'll still see low levels running around - Red is a little barren at low levels.

Starting classes? You may want a druid for ports and support. Plus you can make a pretty penny porting people around.

I recently came from live as well. You will love it here! On live you had to box or play with mercs just to level up or get things done. It's the exact opposite here. I've yet to not be able to find a group. So you will get groups at all levels here on P99. Last night when I logged off around 1am CST there were over 1100 people on Blue, and almost 400 on Red. It's very healthy, and continues to grow.

Hope to see you in game!

You are only starting late when you consider how bloated the high end is with players, and gear, but there are tons of people leveling on the server, it's sometimes hard to find a group just because it's crowded.

Don't forget to put in for an IP exemption if you have not already.
Welcome fellow EQ'er =)

the server is pretty much as crowded as I remember live servers being. And since this is classic style eq, to find a group means you got to be willing to travel around, start something, find friends. But the players are all here. It's just that, unlike modern games, you gotta work for dem levels. And you gotta travel. And, some nights nothing much will happen for ya. Welcome back to what we used to call "fun."

Ip exempt would be so we both can play in the same house correct? Different pcs and all.
This was fun back in the day, but most of us are all grown up now so time is a bit tough to come by.
Excited to see how things will go

I thought I replied, oops!
So the ip exempt would be required just because were in the same house and such correct?
We currently play WoW and just tired of all the numbers that are involved.
"Your item level is too low. Your dps and hps is low. Why did you for and not do anymore damage".
We just want to have fun, meet great friends and play at our own pace.

Now, how is end game working out and when do they think the next expansion is coming out? If we were to get to end game, just wondering how it would be.
When we played in the golden days we never reached max level so I'm a bit oblivious to how this works out.

Absolutely. They'll basically flag your accounts on their end to notate that you and your wife are both playing from the same IP, rather than you playing two accounts. Note that they may still action accounts if they appear to be boxed as opposed to multiple people playing.

Edit: Note that there's a Sticky in this forum regarding IP Exemptions.
