Don't lose me on this one.....

http://web.archive.org/web/200106021...Class=Magician

That is the link to the old school spell listing, specifically Magicians. Look for your spell on that list. Then follow the next link to get the exact stats of your spell:

http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/s...&action=search

You can't use the second link exclusively because EQ jacked up the spell levels a few years back in an effort to give players something new to look forward to at each level....They also change a few of the low end nukes to do more damage.

Those two links as well as what people wrote kinda gives you a picture of what your spell (s) do.

Says 15 min on that list, but I also think, dont quote me on this, that at one point it lasted forever. I also know there was originally some negative side effect of the spell. Cant remember exactly what it was. So who knows what version they are using on this server.

it's better to burnout than fade away

I didn't see any mention of burnout's duration changing across all patch notes from 2000-2005, so either it happened after that time or never happened. I do remember burnout having to be recast every now and then because the pet would be noticeably slower without it...

I'm also curious which version of burnout is being used currently?

I think that mages are so uber that no one has bothered to test this. I just recast it whenever I recast my shielding spell when I was playing my mage.
