Default 2 boxing

Hello.

As i understood playing from 1 IP with 2 accounts is restricted.

The question is if it's allowed to play 2 accounts from 2 different IPs?

Thx in advance.

If the GM's suspect you're boxing then they will try and find out. If they determine you are, you're going to get banned.

The whole point is they dont want 1 person playing 2 toons. If you are doing that in any way even to just transfer stuff between your toons and you get caught you will get banned.

Two different accounts by two different people is also allowed on the same IP provided you request and get accepted for an exemption. You might want to head over to the petition forum and read the sticky for the how-to's on getting an exemption. Don't expect to box for long without getting banned if that is your plan though.

Everyone here has given good answers.

It's a player limit, not an IP limit.
1 person with 1 account online = good
1 person with 2 accounts online = bad

If you have 2 people on the same internet connection, you can apply for an exemption in the petition forum (reading the sticky at top first, it'll save you time).

Just reiterating what everyone else collectively hit on. That said, welcome to P99!

What if I clone myself to using the latest breakthroughs in medical science? Would that be considered 2-boxing?

If P99 is still online by the time the clone comes of age to intelligently operate a character then no.

Each clone is a separate person. So no.

i find this totally absurd they say 2 boxing is not "classic" even during classic if u had 2 accounts u could 2 box i find that just saying it's not "classic" is like Nixon saying "it's a matter of national security" during the watergate scandal
