Isometric gaming
Nice vid from back in the day....
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dTisJ_8RaQQ friend was very into these games, and I used to watch him play for many hours on a sat afternoon....or try and chat up his sister... Always prefered strategy games myself to this sort of thing. Lacks a bit of atmosphere, which is partly down to having no room in memory for music? 3D games always felt so cutting edge back i the 8bit era, and I guess they were infact the bleeding edge. 90% fail to impress now, but some were well designed and I guess influenced so many of the 16bit games that were written (amiga etc)
