Default Holgresh Elder Beads 75k+ ???

Just wondering why Holgresh Elder Beads are so expensive?

Slight saves vs cold/fire/magic with a clicky Eye of Zomm.

I have a 25 Mage with an Elemental armour spell and Eye of Zomm. For 75k I can just follow you around :P

Honestly I just wanted to know if there is a use for Eye of Zomm I am not familiar with that makes it so special.

I appreciate the schooling [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Theyre not expensive, they're 40k.

Don't let anyone tell you different because they are actively being bought and sold for ~40k.

it's an incredible tool for pulling for monks

necros and SKs can summon one and use it to heal themselves with lifetaps and bond of death spell line

for all other classes, there isn't much of a use

Searching the internet would also yield you answers.

They will also go down in price the longer they're around. They eventually (6 months in) get removed from the game, which is why the price is so high.

The reason they are valuable at all is that unlimited casts of Eye of Zomm is incredibly useful for necromancers who can lifetap the Eye to heal themselves without having to engage a mob in combat (that could potentially kill them, or resist, or is mezzed .etc). It's extra useful to necromancers who have the VP staff that gives them a mana free lifetap dot.

Also useful to monks for pulling!

Granted there are some tinkered items that give the same effect and can be recharged at merchant for cheap, but it's 5 charges per item and bag space is at a premium.

Bards can proc epic on it before fight
Everyone can proc OT hammer out of dangerous place if you can summon the eye where it won't get killed if you're somewhere dangerous like the bottom of sleepers tomb or back of ToV.
Eyes in classic left invisible corpses, you could use Track Corpse Spell + Bind Sight and set up CotH chains
Everyone can use them to rabbit pull, I've used Stalking probes a decent amount on my Druid and Cleric
Eyes are level 1 and aggroed at greater distances allowing you to pull through locked doors among other things.

I'm sure there are other uses I'm not thinking of currently.

you can also proc things on player corpses, eyes don't leave corpses here, and i guess the proc on the eye itself thing doesn't work on red since you'll be in pvp range and kill it instantly

the only time i feel a need to use an eye of zomm to pull is for shit in ToV, which no other class should be doing really

it's useful no doubt, but it shouldn't be considered an ultra-valuable gamebreaking item for anything other than monks, necros, SKs
