How to play without WinEQ2?

So when I play using wineq2 my gamma gets blasted up and the texture resolution seems off. I play on a 4k display and text on login and server select look terribly pixelated. When I play on my tablet I dont have this issue. Is there a way to get around wineq while playing on windows 8.1?
