Question Duo Warrior / Shaman Looking for Stuff

Hello all,

A friend and I have both a high level character (29 and 22 [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]) that we play on our side and we wanted to create alts to duo.

We stopped on the warrior (me, because i always wanted to try this class) and shaman (him, because we needed a healer, there are too much drood and cleric is not enough swiftblade).
It's maybe not the best duo ever but we think it can work.

So now let's go to the question part : the twinking.
Our HL characters gave us 100pp each (yeah we are so rich [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]).
On what kind of stuff should we spend those 100pp ?
The war is already in full bronze (woot [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]) and ... that's all we have for items [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

I saw many twink threads but with so much budget that i can't even think on buying 1 item with my money.

Thanks for your help [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Regards
Cryonie

I would get some decent ratio weapons for the warrior. 100pp won't get much so might as well up the dps. Sword of Skyfire is the only one I can think of off hand.

There is like 5 or 6 Cheap Warrior weapons that can be bought for peanuts in the Tunnel. A Lot are not bad at all for them. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

You, in the long run, need Hit Point items, and lots of AC. Bronze is pretty heavy stuff. Banded will work even better in the short run. But just get better weapons like you have stated first.

Go to Wiki and look at all the Warrior weapons and Tunnel prices. Some have dropped even more since Velious is out now. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

HI,
Yeah thank you for your help. I was not sure if i should find a weapon with good ratio dmg/delay or weapons with procs (but generally bad ratio).
One is to make dps and other is to keep aggro ...
Or should i have 1 with proc and 1 with good ratio (when i will be able to dual) ?

Now we are lvl 5 [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

And what about my friend shaman? Where should he spend his 100pp ? weapon ? a special gear for shaman ?

Regards

Don't worry about proc weapons because you can't afford any good ones go for good ratio. As for shaman hp rings if you can get them and banded mail. After that just level up.

OK we will try that.
Right now with my full bronze i'm little disapointed.
I have way much AC that a character of my level should have (200AC vs normal stuff lvl 4/5 that should be nearly nothing) and the monsters are hitting me really hard and don't really miss often. I thought that having many AC at beginning should help me avoid taking damage but apparently not. Or i don"t have enough AC difference versus the ATK of a mob lvl 5 :/

Well i'll try buying a better weapon than my 0.25 sword [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
If other have other advises or what should we try to find next, we are listening [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

You will both want to melee initially. Shaman can grab a wraith bone hammer. Baton of Faith is cheap and good ratio 2her for war, but not so great until 20+ due to DMG cap. I would highly recommend smoldering brand, but not sure what it costs, maybe too much...

Get a set of LARGE banded armor for the Shaman and start questing Totemic Armor in your 20s, great set of quests and your friend will wear pieces of that armor til he gets planar or better. You can of be doing Crafted quests as well, that will keep you busy!

Other than that play more worry less, levels are always >> gear and plat will come fast at higher levels!

Mg
