Default Having trouble with Daemon ISO program

Hey guys, I missed the good ole days of this, and it was brought to my attention that project 99 is something i should look into. SO, I am stuck on the daemon program, everytime i install and then run, it continually says download failed -_-. I am at my wits end! what other programs that are free work just as well?

I'd stay far away from Daemon Tools, personally. There is an ISO mounter that Microsoft provides that is far more stable and provides the same functionality.

I used Alcohol 120% when I need to mount a CD image, there's definitely others out there though.

If you are on Windows 8.1, you can mount the iso using a right clic. Without installing any software [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

I am a tech noob...what purpose does this ISO provide? I use a PC with windows 10 and ran it off the guide without ever using an ISO. Will I benefit by using one to run EQ?

Edit : oh, maybe I did. Been so long I forget!

Worked for me when Daemon wouldn't install some time ago as well.

If you have already installed the game, you don't need an iso software or to mount anything.
If you want to install the game, but you have the CDs, no need of mounting again.
But if you have isos of the game, you need to mount the files. Or, extract them with Winrar and then run the set up.

*cheers*
