Question about Log In troubles

Hello All,

My name is goblinmoshpit here, or Ludaan (a High Elf Mage) in EQ. I've recently been having a few hiccups while logging in and want to proceed carefully so as not to unwittingly do something that could be perceived as ban-worthy...

I couple weeks ago I got my friend to try out EQ so he made an account and tried to log in. We were both on his internet and when one of us tried to log in (i don't remember which one) it said we could not on that specific IP or whatever because it was "in use" i think. I don't remember the specific wording. So one of us used his internet and the other used our friend's (who lives one floor below at the apartment building). I explained to him about what I read about "boxing" that people would do on MMOs or whatever. Everything worked out and we played for about an hour. Well, after the one successful log in, he would get a message about an incorrect password everytime and i'm not sure if he can still log in to this website. He said he didn't really care cuz he doesn't really like the game. I still have my account thankfully and have been able to play over at his place and from at home.

Now, he just got a new internet provider like a week ago. And this is the weird thing. Earlier today I wanted to play while I was at his apartment and I was able to log in BUT... NONE of the servers were listed as available... I panicked... "I'm going home" I said and tried to log in from home... SUCCESS! So I did some grind in Crushbone for a bit (i'm only level 12--new spells! yay!). But i just thought thiswas a weird series of events... I just moved this month so I also have a new ISP but P99 seems fine with that... I dunno.. what do you all think of this scenario?.. I really enjoy EQ as a hobby and I don't wanna end up like those random posts we read about people crying that they got banned for no reason... I'm sure it happens sometimes. Running a server is a lot to manage but i don't wanna be a casualty.
