Trying to create or re-create my character/ crashing

Hey all,

When i deleted a toon this morning and remade it as a gnome, same name, it is now crashing me to login once i hit enter world.

Does anyone have any idea why this would be occuring? Same name different race. And of course the previous one is deleted.

I recently upgraded my video driver, and i reduced frame rate to 60 max is all i have changed.

Any info would be most appreciated. I am using windows 7 64bit, no add-ons no wineq even. I log in through the replaced eqgame that comes with the patches. I am currently on patch 40.

please remove this post, apparently i was trying to create a class/race combo that doesnt exist, although it was allowing me to do so in the character creation. I'd love it if that was modified to fit this era we are in.

I'm glad I found this post. I was doing the same thing and I thought it was because i was creating a character with the same name as a previously deleted character.

Off topic, but answering the question in OPs sig. Yes, I remember dropping coin. Bronze always went to the ground. Sometimes even left a trail of coins for newbs. Kunark & maybe Vellious era.
